When you try to pull open the lower freezer drawer on your kitchen refrigerator and it rips off in your hand due to crappy welds on the mounting bracket breaking off and the screw stud on the other side ripping out.

I would blame foreign manufacturing but this is made in America. Bad design, poorly done welds and undersized anchor studs simply screwed into plastic behind the stainless skin. A complete failure all around.

I’m not paying $100 for a replacement handle. Time for a redesign and fabricate something better that will do the job and last.
 
My solution for the failed freezer drawer handle…

Twin finger pulls solidly anchored to the top edge of the drawer frame and stainless steel button caps to cover the old screw holes for the failed bar pull.

The drawer opens nearly effortlessly using these pulls and the way they are mounted will never fail. I would break the entire drawer frame before these ever pulled out.

$20 fix.
