Mine in 2014, going up Sherman hill east of Laramie WY. Truck had just over 10K miles on it when the charge side of turbo broke and a piece hit an oil line. Heard a pop saw flames and got to the side. Just enough time to grab my coat, bag and phone before the cab was fully engulfed.

Good thing it was nitrogen in that instead of something flammable

Back in 1973, I was 17 and bought a bad-*** 65 Falcon. I didn't yet know about property taxes, so I got a bill for $0.48 plus a $0.05 10% late fee. I figured typing the bill, putting it in an envelope, and paying postage probably cost the county as much as they got from me.

When I got out of the Navy (August ‘75) I started college the following week. Income tax time came and I filed as quickly as possible (needed $ for second semester and party expenses). Needless to say, everyone I knew was getting their returns, and I was getting nothing.

Finally, several months after filing, I got a LETTER from the IRS, telling me they had processed my return, but they could not mail it to me because… THEY DID NOT HAVE MY MAILING ADDRESS!

I called the regional IRS office, read their letter to him, then chewed his *** out. He had no explanation for the letter, but he did ask if I would return it - nope.

I got a certified letter from the IRS with my refund check a few days later. Sadly, I lost the IRS letter somewhere during my moving around during college.
