The brick work along the edge of the sidewalk is done on this side of the driveway to the property line. This is the short side, only 26 feet. The other side is over 90 feet.

Still, it took 500 bricks at 4 lbs each (2000 lbs) and a whole lot of labor to dig out the sod and level the base before setting the bricks and pounding them in and level with a 3 lb dead blow hammer by hand.

It turned out reasonably well I think…

Looks good! I'm surprised the "city" let you do that. Up here that's not the homeowners' property it's the municipalities'.

It is technically the township’s property, but since they don’t mow it or maintain it, it’s mine to maintain. I choose to do it with brick!

Besides, they are doing this very same thing along public roads all across the township. If they decide to ***** about it, I will stomp them into submission in court…and make them pay the legal fees.
