Ever wonder about the durability of battery operated cordless tools?

Here is my Makita 9.6v cordless drill and 3.5” circular saw along with the original 2 batteries and charger.

I bought these new in 1992 and have beat the hell out of them. I have run them so hard that the overheat breaker pops and I have to wait for them to cool down enough to reset and go again until the breaker trips…repeatedly.

They are still going strong and I used them again today to cut lumber and screw it together while building a storage box for the patio. Even after 32 years, the original batteries will run a full 30 mins before needing a recharge.

I will keep running these tools until they die…or at least until I do. LOL!

My daughter and I made a cake for my wife’s birthday. It’s a 2 layer devils food cake with Reese’s peanut butter chips in the cake and Reese’s peanut butter between the layers.

The spider web is peanut butter and we made the spider with 2 honey roasted peanuts for the body with a little stripe of chocolate frosting painted on with a toothpick.

My wife loved it!
