Glad I could give you nightmares for the next week!I’d give that one a big ol’ red “x” if I was at the computer (too hard do it on my phone). Ya see, I have a rather large phobia of man-made objects in water (dams, shipwrecks, oil rigs, shipping docks, etc), and this picture pushes all of the wrong buttons for me.
Damn near scares the hell outta me, in fact, when I think about putting myself there in-person.
Edit: Holy ****! I just noticed there’s a guy in a kayak near the bow of this monster!
Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope!
NOPE!!!!
That is so ugly, it's cool! I'd be drivin' the wheels off that thing!

And NOBODY would be walking up and saying "I used to have one just like that"!
a shrike, I always wanted one of those. did get the dune buggy though
I had one of these- a Testor's Sprite Indy tether car. I remember having to save up 800 or so bottle cap seals for it. Raided a lot of vending machine cap bins (remember those?) for months and drank more Sprite than I care to think of, but eventually it happened!a shrike, I always wanted one of those. did get the dune buggy though
Nice! What engine did that have? Something like a Cox 049?I had one of these- a Testor's Sprite Indy tether car. I remember having to save up 800 or so bottle cap seals for it. Testor's/McCoy 049- similar to the Cox engine, they were competitors. Ran on the same fuel, started them the same way with a glow plug and battery.Nice! What engine did that have? Something like a Cox 049?
