Real real real REAL stupid banking rule

Where are there not any rules ? I got a cash advance against a credit card shortly before Christmas. Paid it back before the charge showed up on the statement. Therefore the payment wasn't accredited to that higher interest debt as I expected.
So they got their 23% for the one month. My Christmas gift to them LOL
