I'm stumped on this. Every time I turn right, I get a noise from the right back wheel which sound like the drum rubbing on the backing plate. It's a hollow sound. I've pulled the drum and there is no rubbing marks. I've lifted the rear and rotated the wheels and no noise. I've even swapped the drums. Could it be the bearing? The funny thing is it sounds like a rubbing noise. I get no noise turning left or going straight.

Have you had any body work done? Believe it or not last year I had the same thing, and it turned out my rear tire was rubbing against my wheel well. The left side tire was rubbing, so when I turned left I got this rubbing sound.

No body work at all. I've checked the clearance of the tire and it's fine too. If I had to bet my life on it, I would say the drum is rubbing on the backing plate, but again, no evidence of it.

Axle bearings will make a noise when loaded like in turning.
When diagnosing front wheel drive cars, best educated guess is the side you are turning to but... Neither bearing has been any further than the other. Most service mechanics will recommend replacing both.
Now for a rear bearing, the evidence is either there or it aint. You're looking for a shinny line on drum and backing plate, or outer edge of brake shoe. Sparkling debris inside the wheels backside Maybe some oil inside the drum too eventually since the seal wont live as long as a bad bearing will. good luck

I've noticed an issue with rear end noise here, too, today, but I think it's because of the burritos and nachos and beers I had last night!!!!

Well look on the bright side, it will lower your gas costs, lol.

Well I'm going to pull the axels and change the bearings as I can't think of anything else
