So Here's the story, i've got a 83 5th ave (318) that I'm swapin into my /6 68 dart, already got the engine compartment stripped and I'm at the back of the car, I'm planning on taking the rear end out, but thought I should consult the experts on leaf springs What I wanted to know is am I better off just mounting the 8 1/4 rear onto the 7 1/4 leafsprings (I'll call it a bracket, but it's where the U-bolts attach to the leafsprings) Or take the 5th ave's leafs from the frame mounts? I've measured, and it looks close, but I'm still not sure?
