Looking for ideas on shocks or plate modifications for my 68 Dart. My springs have been moved in board and I purchased the -1 mono leafs. I am 14 3/4” from eye to eye. I purchased QA1 TD901 and they are too long. I am considering purchasing the TS709 or welding up a new lower mounting point 2 1/2” lower than stock. Thanks Andrew

Got it sorted, one side done, one to go. Set it with 3” of chrome showing with the double adjustables. Hope someone finds this helpful in the future. Shock dimensions were based off of the super stock shock length. Andrew

I am going to have to move the shock inboard 1” inch for added clearance. This puts me right at the scrub line. That will be this weekends project.

I bet you are going to bend the shock body. I'd relieve the plate where it's close to the body. The mount point will twist under, towards the axle centerline, moving the lower shock mount forward and into the mount plate.

Saw you moved them over. Even moved over, I'd relieve the area for shock clearance

Nice fab work!

THanks guys. I plan to sandblast and paint the other side today and install. I never thought about the shock body concern, so thanks crackedback for mentioning that. I will jack the car up and let the rear suspension hang on it on weight and see what I got. I will post afterwards. Andrew
