Hey guys, I just got my first car, a 1969 dart. It has a slant 6 and a 904 and supposedly a dana 60. Somebody took a look at it and said it was a ford 8.8. I got under the car and took this picture, definitely not an 8.8 but does anybody knows what this means?

Its a chrysler cause its stamped. It looks like a chrysler 8 1/4 rear end. I put a limited slip 8 1/4 in my valiant. The oval 10 bolt pattern means 8 1/4. 9 bolts and not total oval is a 7 1/4.

Whoever said it's a Dana 60 is either the worlds worst liar or doesn't know the first thing about Chrysler rearends. Like the others said it's an 8-1/4. The 8-1/4 is a real good rearend but nowhere close to a Dana 60

Congrats on your new ride

Hope this helps
