Good afternoon guys and thanks in advance.

My set up is going to be a 1970 340 Duster.
10.5:1 comp
W-2 Heads
8" converter with a brake
Strip Dominator manifold with 750 Double pump
456 gears in a DANA 60

Was running a Crane F-248/3602-2-8 which was 540/560 lift 248/258 @050. Ran good with that set up, but looking for advice from the MOPAR gurus!!!

Any other suggestions appreciated also. And Gooooo!!!

Never really got a good run at the track with it. Built the motor many moons ago and then got married!!! Kept the drivetrain sold the rest. 20 years later here we go again!! A lot has changed since then so I'm trying to pick some brains here.

What is your target goal?
Are your heads ported? Any flow numbers to them if they are ported?

I myself am doing a solid roller cam.

Just food for thought .... Crane currently makes roller cams with out the need for a bronze gear. Look for the cams with "IG" for iron gear at the end of the part number. The draw back is price. Crane has the most expensive roller cams.

Mike at MRL has excellent solid roller lifters.

I'm sure that was a good cam! Go big maybe 600 lift 270's duration and shift it at 7,500rpm

Target goal is a 10 second car that I can drive to a show or two. Looking to set up for 500-550 hp if possible. No porting on heads yet but I am looking to port heads and manifold. Wasn't looking to go roller. Spoke to Hughes yesterday about flat tappet solid cam. 564 lift with 242 & 246 duration.

EL5.... Will that take me out of the 10.5:1 compression range??

Ok, looking maybe to switch to a roller set up. Suggestions?

Mike at lunati set me up with the solid roller cam and lifters,
563 &563 lift 247 255@50 1.5 roller rockers and suggested Edlebrock 60175 heads.

Have not run the engine yet but I believe roller cam is the way to go.

Thank you both!! Never used Lunati but heard good stuff about them

Ya can't think about cam selection without an audio

416. Resto block. HTA race prepped Indy 360-2 heads 686 roller. in it now modified T&D rockers oils through shafts. Heads clearanced for rocker geometry change. 5500 stall 456 gears with 29 14.5 tires. balance zero grams.

Ok... Trying to narrow it down between T&D rollers and Harland Sharp. Any feedback??

T&D, I have raced the same set for a year now and every time I go to check the valve clearance they are right on. Video of my car. 6.29 at 108mph at a 2,500 foot of corrected air. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5AG5ZT5SZI"]MRM 9 Ken Moreland and Shane Pulido - YouTube[/ame]

Ok so with this "New " set up that includes Rollers will I need oil mods??
