So the chrome is peeling off of my thumbwheel radio push-buttons, has anyone ever had these rechromed? Or what have you done in this situation?

If you can get them off they can be re-chromed.

I'm in the same boat with a 67 Radio.

I have a donor that I'm going to see what it will take to remove them.

On some later years they seem easy to remove but my 67 seems to be swedged on or molded on

Spray them with Revell spray chrome. It’s the best spray chrome that I have found.

This is the inside of a 67 Dart am radio.

Red arrows point to the lever attached to the buttons

Where the lever is swedged??? To the button

I imagine if I remove the entire cage that the buttons and levers are attached to I can disassemble it enough to get the levers and knobs out.

But I have not tried it yet.

Also I am pretty sure that the 67 knobs are pot metal. Lots of pits

Before you start spending $$, make sure it fits your Rally dash frame. The 70 only radio has a unique detachable front mounting face (bracket). I'm not sure if the '69 will fit.
Yeah it is quite distinguishable with the mounting brackets and the thumbwheel controls. I think it is 1 year only....not 100% sure.

Heres a shot of the front of my radio, I believe you guys were referring to the unusual mounting tabs?
looks like the correct radio. Get the part number off of it to confirm.
If I could have found one of those for a reasonable price I would have installed it but just made a radio delete plate for now.
