Hello board members, I for one have been experiencing buyers for my parts that state "I will take it" and delay communications with me,
as other buyers sit behind them waiting. and waiting.... I am suggesting the board requires all members who want to purchase parts
contact the seller within 24 hrs. of the intent to buy, or the seller has the option of going to the next person inline without courtesy complaints posted against them.
I have been hug up for days on some transactions waiting on buyers to respond back to me, and one never contacted me on a substantial purchase.
That's my recommendation Thank you

Okay, first... How would we enforce that?

Second, you have the option of selling to whomever you want now. We don't control any of that. Nor can we.

May I suggest putting your terms in your ad. Something like "Payment details must be finalized through PM within 24 hours or item will be relisted."

My next ad will say "Buyer is responsible for determining if item/part is correct for his application."

Thanks S'Cuder!! That's exactly what I'll do.
I appreciate your suggestion. Seems like the fair thing to do!

Exactly. FABO doesn't control who you sell to. How long you wait on receiving payment is entirely up to the seller. If people's feelings get hurt because they contacted you first but then disappeared for days without paying and someone else had the money, well, that's their problem. Saying "I'll take it" is not an indefinite hold.

If it's causing you stress, just do as S'cuder says and put the terms in the sale ad. 24 hours is pretty short, so, putting it in the ad will help explain your level of comfort with that type of thing. I understand where you're coming from, I wouldn't wait a week without re-selling it, but I have waited a few days because not everyone on this board is all that internet savvy. But that timeline is 100% in your hands as the seller.

Maybe the OP should be willing to sell to Canucks as well. Or state that in his ads. It could save the potential buyers time and aggravation.
