Recommendations for Carlisle

I can’t make the show this year. My dad wants to go with friends. Trying to book him a room. Is Mechanicsburg safe and ok? Probably a motel 6 at this point. Most of the good stuff is 1 billion bucks or far away. North and South Hershey are also available. I just don’t know the area well enough to make a choice. Thanks guys.

Mechanicsburg is only, about, 10 miles away. -- Probably as safe as any, but I'm surprised that there's rooms available, there.

Yeah, I've had to stay up to 20 miles away when I didn't get my butt in gear and make reservation early. I've never had an incident with my car in parking lots at hotels, or parked on the street or somebodies home at fairground. Miss that place, and Hershey, just can't do all that walking anymore.

Stayed here for the ford show a few years ago. Place is huge. Was like a car show walking around the parking lot. Not sure what it’s like for the mopar show. It was clean and a place to sleep so it worked out well for us.

Mechanicsburg is definitely better than some areas in Harrisburg.

You can also look around in Shippensburg, but it is a longer drive.
