Plan is to have block in machine shop on monday to get honed...new cam bearing..
I got the main and rod bearing in stock...along with the rings ...and a new billet chain..not going to use tensioner ...although this one showed minimal wear...

head are going out for a valve job..thinking about going from 2.02 to 2.08 on the intake...

It's all in what you know. That does look good.

If you want to replace that windage tray,I have one. No bolts, but you have those anyway. PM If interested.

Thanks...but with the deep sump I will go with out...

well....one of the main journals has a small scratch...going to haul it in the machine shop monday and see what they say....polish or cut to .020...the rod journals all look great..

machine the decks and heads smooth for those Cometics! :)

While Engine is out, I have a HemiDenny coil over shock kit that has been sitting in the box for months...time to get it on...Got the torsion bars off this afternoon...just need to bust lower ball joint off lower control arm...

And then I started to take pistons off the rods so I can take rods to machine shop...Spiral Locks Suck...3 down and 5 to go...

Amazing after a good night sleep how easy spiral locks come out....everything ready to head to machine shop now..

the cheap rods to avoid are I beams. looks like valves kissing pistons a little

no valve kissed piston...just the picture...

Got the lower control arms off....got one of those Harbor freight ball joint buster today...worked great...did not want to hit them with pickled fork and tear boot...

hemidenny upper shock support is bolted on...will slide in pivot tomorrow and get the rear support on...I am welding everything even though this is made to bolt on...
ordered QA1 shocks yesterday..from jegs...Direct shipped from Vendor...show a Oct.7 shipping date...that sucks...but everything will be done...
ordered 2.08 intake valves....need to pick a shop to do the work...have good idea where i am going...

It has a QA1 tubular K member.

Shocks were shipped by QA1....

Ok your keeping the manual gear box
And losing the torsion bars
I have the qa1 k member and been considering losing the torsion bars
Let me know if you like it

we have a 71 Duster that has a qa1 k member and coil over springs on it.....been like that for a year now...nice not to have those torsion bars in the way...

tighten up a couple of more bolts and the lower control arms are done...
the sticker that HD put on LCA were backwards...was hanging one of the control arms..and notice that the strut rod attachment was pointing the wrong way...sticker said it was suppose to be on that side..LOL....small things..

shock support is done...Shocks will be here on Monday according to tracking number...
Block ..crank and rods in machine shop...waiting for the call to come get them....probably friday..

gotta turn my attention back to the 71 Fuster....goes back to the track on Wednesday for bracket finals here in Vegas...

except for tightening some bolts again...and set the ride height once the engine is in.....hemi denny coil over shock kit on 71 Dart
