Dumb question....

I am running an internally regulated power master or something alternator, and the factory wiring harness is taped off to the side.

I need to move my firewall mounted regulator to mount my hydraulic clutch reservoir, but can I just omit it completely at this point, do those two wires have any other impact other than the now unused factory alternator wires?

Does it have anything to do with my coil wire (stock coil hot) in any way?

Well in a 65 mustang..... :poke:

What car
What year
What other electrical modifications

If it was a 69 and older grounded field vr

It has switched power going in one end and regulated power coming out the other of the vr.

70 and newer

Has switched power going in to it and one of the field wires from the alternator.

There is a separate switched feed to the other alternator field terminal

Either way you should be safe to to remove the VR and make the not connected wires / terminals protected from grounding on both ends
