My 70 Dart has a split bench seat that leans back a bit too far on the drivers side. There is enough back and forth play in the pivots that the seat back slides towards the door and over the support rod that it would normally latch to. It seems like a bolt needs to be tightened but for the life of me I can't figure out how the seat back attaches to the base.
1. How does one detach the seat backs from the base?
2. What can I do to remove the excess lateral play in my seat back

As always I appreciate any advice.

remove the 2 side cover screws from the L arm on the side. then remove the round 3/8 spring clip. unlatch seat back and tilt it forward. there is a sort of key on the inner support it needs to fit thru while pulling seat back towards door. kind of hard to explain. but it is really very simple.

Heres how my 72 mounts the hole is on the backrest the pin is on the armrest.

Would anyone have a picture of the lower seat cushion without upholstery so you can see the bracket that the inner pin hinges fits in (center bracket)? Thanks
