Removing adhesive from paint

-
Automotive paint stores have a product made for that in a spray can.

3m makes a wheel that you attach to your drill

works better than anything else I have ever used.

Just wondering if anyone has tips to remove crusted old adhesive from paint?

Whatever you decide to use, try a small test spot first before going hog wild!!

Here's what I've been using besides heat gun, Goof Off, Kero,
Good Luck!8-)

Those wheels work great.. however years ago I heard them referred to as a "wurzer" or "whizzer" wheel? Not that it makes any difference but I have been trying to remember it for the last couple of years.. sound familiar?

For small area's I use 3m General purpose adhesive remover, eraser wheels work good too, the key to using an eraser wheel is to run it slow almost to the point of the wheel stopping. I have seen a lot of people crank them up to the point of them smoking and it doesn't do any good. Also an old bodyman trick for vinyl top adhesive is to use gas.. obviously in a good ventilated area... it works better than any adhesive remover I have tried.

S.A.R. (Silicone Adhesive Remover) Available at most detail supply centers.
Works great for me.
