Hello,

I have a 1974 dart sport 360, with msd 6al ignition. I currently have the ballast resitor removed and the wires jumpered to give me the 12 volt run wire for the msd. I would like to remove the ballast connectors and the old ignition plug from my underhood wiring. If I remove the ballast plugs which wires should be connected together. I have the 7.5 v start wire and the 12 volt run wire jumpered together running to the 6al 12v ign wire at this time. It works, but is there a better way? I am just trying to clean up some under hood wiring.

Thanks for any help.

connect the blue and brown wires together that are on the ballast resistor...they are the run and start wires...then remove ballast resistor

I did it too. But ran the brown and blue under dash and put the msd behind my glove box and ran the dist. leads thru the firewall.Cleaned it up good.
