Removing floor pan and quarter panels advise

Looking to pull the floor pan and quarter panels off this 70 dart to change out on my 72 dart. Do you have to remove entire roof to get full quarter panel off? Any advise on doing all this is greatly appreciated.

No, You don't need to remove the roof. Cut out the spot welds between the roof and quarter panel, then all of the spot welds around the perimeter of the quarter.
The quarter panel is installed behind the roof at this seam. (See pic) This is the hard part, removing the quarter from under the roof.
I found it helps to cut the spot welds part way up on the back window/roof (See pic) so that you can spread the roof out some to help get the quarter panel out. This also helps installing the quarter on the other car. If you're not saving the roof of the donor car, you can cut the roof just above the seam where it meets the quarter panel.
You'll have to wiggle the quarter panel around some to get it off and I found it better having a helper.

I'm actually thinking about putting the roof on the 72 car seeing its in better shape near quarter panel joints. Original plan was to fix up 70 but it has dents and bends on almost every panel. What killed the idea was the driver side door jam is pushed in pretty hard. The 72 is a straight body but has humidity cancer from sitting in a indiana shop for 30 years or so. The interior on the other hand is imaculent for its age. The 70 was already stripped of alot of parts while 72 was almost a complete car minus power train even had most of original slant six parts in the trunk. Also if any one is interested, all slant 6 parts are for sale.

IMHO

I would look for a California donor car.

Even if you pay 3000 for it, in the long run you will not have the recurring issue of rust coming from the seams and the back side of every other panel.

I know you were not looking for that but...
 
You should post your slant 6 stuff in the For Sale section with those pictures and a price for each item or complete.
