how would YOU go about removing a factory spring perch from a 8 3/4 rear so they can be used again ?? i have to move them in a inch or so...

I would cut the welds (very carefully) with either a cutoff wheel or a die grinder with a carbide bit

from what I can see, there is NO weld on the inside of the perch's is there??

Like stated above grind away the welds on the out side. Then you should be able to knock them off with a big hammer and reuse them.

First they're cheap so don't reuse them, because you will never be able to grind the weld off in an arc around the tube. You also won't be able to grind exactally the same amount off of either. If you had a plasma cutter it might be possible, but you're opening yourself up to a lot of possible geometry problems. Cut em off, grind the welds down smooth and use NEW spring seats. Don't forget to reset the pinion angle to what you want before welding, also.

don

yeah i cut mine off with a torch and summit has them in there mopar section for like 13 dollars got them and welded new ones on there and never had a problem
