How do I take the wiper arms off my car?Are they just pressed onto the spindles?

They're just sitting on the splines- not necessarily pressed. You need to pick the wiper arm off the windshied to take the tension off the splines. Mine came off easy by just wiggling it up side to side while pulling up but some of them can be really stuck on there! They make a tool for that kind of like a pair of pliers that spreads apart to lift them up.

you can use a flat screwdriver and a piece of thin wood but a tool is the best way

I agree with dartguy. Just pull them up and wiggle them loose.
I think it's a better way to do it than taking a chance of doing
damage to the paint.

Thanks guys.I just didn't want to try forcing them off if that's not the way they come off. Mike,I guess you haven't heard of the new squeak free wipers that also put your car in stealth mode.
