repo sill plates install, need help!

So I bought a set of sill plated for my 69 from The Paddock and the both ends of both plates are bent down at a 90 deg angle and are about 3/16" long. Plus, they are bent in to the inside where it retains the carpet. Do I need to remove these? Does anyone have a pic of an original sill plate?

I used my dremel to shave down both the ends on the repo sills I bought earlier this year. I didn't shave them completly off but enough for them to sit flush against the sill metal. I also shaved down the part that pinches the carpet against the windlances.

That's what I thought I needed to do, it just didn't look right the way it came.
