I see that Classic Industries will soon be offering new repro Sharktooth
grills to the tune of $599.00 bare. They Also show complete grill kits for
over $1000.00. I've contacted Classic via e-mail in hopes of learning who
and where these are being made. I'll post their reply when I receive it.
Do any of you have inside info about this. I know that repro Sharktooth
grills were attepted once before by someone with unfavorable results.
I'm new to this forum so if this subject has already been covered in an
earlier discussion please forgive me and direct me to it.
Thank you,

It has been talked about here but yours have the most updated information. Last thread hinted at it being done but no-one know who.

seems like classic industries is always trying to come out with a new product, which is great! Yearone on the othe hand seems to have less and less in their catalouge every year. I think Classic Industries will be the leader in supplying mopar parts within a couple years.

I am not sure, but I think Classic is trying to make them under their OER brand. The quality is usually decent considering the point of origin.

Glad to hear good feed back from you guys about Classic Industries. My dealings with
them have been very good so far as well. Since there located right here in So. Cal. it
makes it very convenient for me.

Yep, it's right around the corner. These repo's will be perfect and everyone will rave over them. All you guys who have been holding on to nice factory grilles, PM me. I will be glad to buy these from you at half what you think there worth since the value of these will drop when these awesome repops come out...lol......

kinda like n.o.s full quarters for $3000.00
not many are selling since A.M.D started making full ones.

man, i wish i had access to the original molds for these from the dealer!

They need to be better than the last attempt at reproducing them.

The last ones were not very sturdy. You'll have a bunch of money in one by the time you buy all the trim, bezels etc if they are bare.

Check with local art departments at a college and see if you can take an original grill in and have them clay mold them and then reproduce.

I looked at doing this with some 70 Coronet grills.

I received a response from Customer Service at Classic Industries about their
Sharktooth grill. It is still in the production phase and at this time the young lady
there indicated that she had no further info about it except that availability will
hopefully be sometime late in 2012 or early 2013. I'm on their mailing list and they
frequently send offers for special discounts. Maybe someday I will take them up on
one for this grill. Hope they plan on keeping them in stock at their store in Huntington
Beach and not just special order. I want to see one up close and personal before
dropping that kind of money sight-unscene. fixnfab

Yeah Crackedback, that's my concern as well however, I'm under the impression that customer service has very little info at this time about this part. We all know plastics have come a long way since the 60's and 70's so I would hope a suitable formula will be selected. If I learn more I'll post it.

Kudos to them....I laughed when I saw one (swap meet) years ago for $400...I thought they were drinkin their bath water...

tried a repro (not real happy)...well over $600

paid $1K for a very nice, but not perfect, sharktooth last year at the Nats

I'm glad they are making them...no one held a gun to my head, but a grand...thats ridiculas, but at the time....market price.

before we get all happy on these. Lets see how the come out. more than likely they will not be correct, like most of the repro stuff. Than everybody will be back looking for originals again. They need to make it correct, not almost correct.

I have a lot of faith in Classic Industries...what I have bought from them, while a litte pricy, was exceptional quality....my money says they will be better than new.

Sounds like you would have over $1400.00 (with shipping) for one of
these new ones (complete kit).

Your's looks great and still seems to be quite a good deal.

I am certainly glad these are finally being reproduced.

I wonder if the "bare ones" (center section only) for $599.00 are
painted.......Bet not.

Looks more like $1300.00. If you blow up the picture of the "bare"
one in the first link you will notice that none of the stainless trim
strips are on it. Can't tell if it is painted but it is indeed "bare".

If someone has some parts from a broken original and some bezels etc
you might get by for less but the complete kit must (I hope) include
everything (H/L bezels too?).
