Casting number info, I haven't seen this, maybe old news to everyone.

I'm going to look for this but I haven't seen it on the engine.
there is a pad on the front of the block under the left cylinder deck surface that should have stamped numbers. That will tell you more info about what your block is, or what it came from. I will attach a chart below.

From the looks of it, it's a 5.9 Magnum block probably from a full size or Dakota truck. That's where I would start out.
