Restoring my 1967 Barracuda

Now about the rear gasket. That is a 2 piece gasket. The correct locking insert is plastic and look like chrome. It is a little larger than the round black cord so it will spread the gasket out some. The gasket never will completely fill those voids in the lower corners,
To install you should start by placing the gasket on the car and make it look and fit as good as it will in those lower corners while installing the glass working from bottom toward top.
The stainless moldings could be used at rear window also but again you would need to install those clips that hold the moldings on.
The stainless moldings for the rear must come from 68 or 69 Barracuda notchback only. I hope this helps :)

pictures for you.. red car shows original 67 gasket. Notice how it lays open wating forthe insert.
OTher pic is my 68 and the correct gasket for stainless trim. Trim clips shown in the pic also. This gasket is also unlocked since the glass will be removed soon.

yes i really like the cosmics. Had them years ago on my streetsleeper ford escort mk 2. Very nice oldschool alloys. OK, i think they are small bolt pattern (5 on 4"). Please send me pm.

Ok!!!! Now i understand you, this pics are very fine for explain me the concept.

You have all reason! the gasket of first pic is identical than the gasket than i did remove from my car...

Ok, now i know all information for install correctly the windshields, Thanks Redfish!!!

Do you know where can i buy the front and rear gasket correct for my car????

I remember this wrong gaskets cost about 300$ !!!! plus shipping!!!!

Yes! cosmics wheels this mark is on any hub caps of wheels, I`ll make photos tomorrow, here on Madrid, i know a industrie, than repairs all wheels, aluminium, magnesium, all materials, the finish are incredible! If you want, maybe i can answer how much cost repair it... If is neccesary...

I'm not sure how to advise.
You do have the most desired gaskets. You dont have the clips and stainless trim. Front window stainless is easy to get but the rear is not.
YearOne offers the correct gaskets for 67 and you do have the lock insert.
You need to be aware, that plastic lock insert shrinks in length and yellows over time.
p.s. I want that steering wheel too . Bring it when you visit here. LOL

Nice looking Barracuda Tato! Keep the photos of your progress coming! I was stationed in Seville in 68, 69 and 70 when I was in the Air Force and there were a lot of US cars there (even some muscle Mopars!).

The colour is orange, but is not hemi orange, I like do photos in the street, when clean the body, the car is inside of industrie 10 months...

Ok, is this part on yearone???,WCRD690B Reproduction windshield gasket for 1967 Plymouth Barracuda 2-door coupe models. this part is identical than gasket of pic of red car than you show me later???

And rear gasket???? How can i repair the problem??? how do you it???

And the steering wheel... hehehehe is very nice, is dificulty of find??? my car is rare, it`s on Spain from 1967, is manual and have disc brakes front, i read than normally is drum brakes, too have a secundary brake booster ¿¿¿??? is very rare...

I bet there are a LOT of American cars in and around Madrid since Torrejon Air Base was near Madrid. The military base in Sevilla was not too large, basically my communications squadron and support units. Moron de la Frontera was the big base in the area - joint Spanish/American flying base if I remember correctly.
Ah, those were the days!
 
Dartman, I live on Madrid, and i was in the torrejon air base in 1998, all installations are in bad conditions, i like know the base in the great time, when usa army was there, i was too two years ago in a base in the northwest (galicia, estaca de bares) totally older, and less service, too was of us army...

The time is running!

I progress with barracuda`s restoration, sorry for my languaje one more time, I repair the problem with the oil pan, i bought other milodon oilpan and now is correctly sealed:

When is the first start up of the engine?
 
Uffff I don`t know, I hope, finish of install the headers, make a temporally electrical harness for can start the engine and make a little comprobations...

I need too put a fuel pump for can start the engine, and the electrical wiring, i am fear with this...

Very nice car man. I love it. Looks like you are making some really good progress on it. I kinda like your small bolt pattern wheels that are on there. I've never seen those before.
 
It's not as far now as it has been. :)
I see the early bisquit type motor supports being used. May as well go ahead and buy a strap of some sort to anchor the left front of the block to the K.
Stock 318 engines pulled those motor supports apart easily.
