I had this car for years purchased it for $1500.00 in the 90's just for the drivetrain..the rest of the body was rotted horrible most of these Midwest cars where recycled into early ford escorts..this car has the original 455 block, crank, rods and cylinder heads, original M-20 4 speed trans and original differential but changed the gear ratio..I purchased a olds tunnel ram for it in early 2000 then decided to go a pro street approach..it was easier and cheaper then trying to bring it back to original..found used fenders, doors, supreme header and had to make my own quarters from another set of used front fenders, used 73, 74, 75 parts for the body is the same for all these years..even the original 442 hood had holes like swiss cheese..it took over ten years to complete in my two car garage with basic hand tools and a mig welder and an wonderful wife who understands my patience..The time it took me to straighten and block sand over and over times I never thought I would finish..it was there for three moves and three jobs..I had visions of so many different colors to paint it and finally decided to use DuPont civilian competition yellow. No painting background I wanted to paint it anyways started 7:30 in the morning until 7:30 in the evening to paint all of it..July 4th 2010 I remember it reached 93 degrees if you where outside.. inside my buddy's pole barn it was hotter, drank liquids all day water, beer ,pop still lost about 3 pounds from sweating..I love this car it is apart of me just thought I would share it with you..
