my water pump that I removed last fall looks like it was not to old looking. So my question is do you think it would still be good to use.could the seal dry out and leak.has anyone ever reuse there old pump after it has been sitting.Thanks.

It leaks!?!

Dump it! Grab a standard pump and be done with it.

I'd use it;but then again I'm a poor redneck with to many kids to feed.

hey water pumps aren't hard to change but then again water pumps are cheap so flip the coin

I was just facing the same situation, but mine was over 10 years old, a new one was only $20 at Schuck's so it didn't make sense not to replace it to me.

depends on how much you mind changing it if it starts leaking. i say if its not too crusty use it. w/p changeout aint hard.

Same spot. Mine is out for about 9 years but still looks new. Too many other things to spend $$ on now so I am going for it and going to use mine.

Well it going to cost 68 bucks Canadian for a rebuilt pump.So I will try to reuse the old one and if it leaks then i will bite the bullet and get a rebuilt one.thanks to all that replyed.
