This stuff is pretty good but expensive $40. If I was doing a high end resto I would just get the repop bezel but I’m just rewiring dash and engine so figured what the hell, someone in the 1970’s painted mine flat grey or something anyway. BTW pain to tape it up.

Just painted it yesterday but it dries quick and seems a lot better that the other chrome paint that after dry seems to transfer to your fingers. I didn’t use primer just scuffed what was on there. I probably won’t touch it till I reinstall the gauges in a month or so and even then probably use cotton gloves. Obviously even like the original chrome if you use any cleaner I’m sure it will get damaged.
 
Wow, that looks fantastic. Nicely done! Definitely looks much better than the "chrome" paints that end up just looking like silver paint.

I've watched some videos on this product and it looked great. Turned out really nice on your bezel. Definitely will use this in the future.
 
I picked up a Molotow Liquid Chrome pen for scale modeling and found the experience to be hit or miss. It has a bad habit of the tip either drying up and not replenishing or coming out in an irritating blob. I'd certainly try it if I needed to but I'd be super careful.

I’m going to try the pen around the turn signal and brake/ hi beam circles. I taped over those if you look at my bezel
 
I have heard that if you cure the paint at a low temperature, it works better. I have never tried it heat curing it.

The problem I had with the stuff I used(don’t remember what, but I tried a bunch of brands) was that it would still finger print a month later.
 
Sounds like it might not do well in an exterior application. I need to redo the hood bezel on my wife's Saturn Vue. It's not big, so I may check with a wrap place and see if they have chrome wrap.

Probably not. I don't think any spray bomb paints will last. I wonder if a 2 stage clear coat would help but now you are getting into some expense unless you already have some. I might just try it on my marker light bezels.
