Ring recommendations for KB icon IC983

Hi, should I get the KB rings for this piston or should I use some other brand?

Brand isn't too important, not like KB makes their own rings anyhow. BUT top ring gap is critical wit KB pistons. The top ring sits higher so the gap needs to be larger. If you use the old ".004 per inch of bore" rule you'll quite possibly have the top ring go solid and break. Higher top ring runs hotter and needs more gap.

Ok, so hastings rings will be ok.
These are the forged KB pistons and not the hypers as well.

Hmmm, we don't have a Wal Mart here, we do have costco though, maybe I'll try there.
