RIP: Don Pardo

Don Pardo goes back a long ways. I remember him from the original Jeopardy game show when it was based in New York and Art Fleming was the host.
He'll be announcing new arrivals in Heaven now...
 
RIP Don.

I loved that "you're a complete loser" speech on that Al Yankovik song.
 
SNLL was his last stop, and he was on there largely because the original cast of SNL grew up hearing his voice overs, and the MC's of many variety shows and game shows of the 1950's and 60 say the words, "this is Don Pardo, speaking", or "Thank you, Don Pardo".





Ed Herlihy was another such 1950's-60 voice over announcer,. You might recall his Kraft foods commercials.
