Ripped off on Moparts

Communication is the key. Almost every service has tracking #'s now, so really easy to eliminate all the 'missunderstandings'. I shipped a small package parcel post from an ebay auction Dec 12. PA to CA usually takes 4-5 days. This thing went to NJ then spent Christmas in Springfield MA, then back to Jersey. FINALLY got back on track and was delivered on New Years Eve. Buyer was not happy. Even though they could check the tracking themself, I followed-up on it and emailed them with status. If I hadn't had tracking it would have been a NEG feedback.

And file a report or even havr a squad car go to that address to make sure they are still there and ok?? Let me know if i can help? You will probably be ok, but use that as a last resort.

Thanks for everyones help/comments. I posted this on moparts and someone wrote they saw him at the swap meet on sunday. I also got some people local to him that said they would go pick up the parts. This is ridiculous. I try ship stuff within 2 days and write the buyer after it shipped and tell them the carrier.
 
This is jacked up. I've done biz with 68gtconvert several times. There has never ever been an issue and he pays like a slot machine! He conducts business as it should be done without a doubt!

Thanks Louis. These were a xmas gift from my wife so she's a bit upset too.
 
So a member on Moparts helped me out by calling him. They are friends? He said they were shipped yesterday, he was out of town blah blah blah. He could have emailed me.
 
If I was out of town I can't email, my phone won't do it. Just saying..
And as fare as using someone's computer for something I don't ask , and don't like anyone using mine, well my wife and sons do..
 
He said he was out of town last week not all of this week. I am sure someone can take 2 seconds to send a PM or email. He told me he was shipping these 2 weeks ago. If you are selling parts on the internet you should be able to communicate via the internet. I am letting this die now. Hopefully the manifolds will come next week.
 
I to have done business with 68gtconvertible good guy. I have also in the last year have to wait 3 plus weeks for shipment that went back and forth across the country. No excuse.
 
FedEx man, I bought some manifolds monday from central CA and they were on my doorstep wed morning....! Wow! They must have been trucked overnight straight to my depot. I shipped a carb to bum#uck, VT from CA and it took 3 weeks.

Exactly as soon as I put a thread up about not receiving my $325 parts he magically had shipped them the day before. He still never wrote me personally either he told his buddy to tell me they were shipped friday. hmmm.

I dont buy it. He shouldnt be using his friend as a middle man. He should contact you himself.
 
i hope you get your parts .a friend sent me a sure grip sticker on the 29th of october 2012 and i still havent recieved it yet .....usps
 
Crossing my fingers that he sent them. I had two people write and tell me they are close to where he lives and would go over and talk to him if he doesn't come through. I thought that was really cool.
 
I'd just about bet, when you get the pacakage the ship date will be 2/4/13. :violent1: I rarely sell anything online, but I buy a lot of stuff. When I buy something, my top priority is to get a USPS money order to the seller ASAP, and let them know it's on the way and to be expecting it. Been doing it that way for a lot of years, and only got screwed twice. I just try to believe that car people are basically good, and will do what they say. I guess some just have ADD...lol.
 
i duno just another plus for evry 1 here at fabo more like dealing with family never had a prob yet
hope it comes thru for you i dont trust that site for some reason 300 nothing to snezze AT any more or any less no tracking # i suppose or wouldnt be having this convo

I just asked his buddy for a tracking # since he still hasn't got back to me. I had a bad feeling about this transaction from the beginning but i didn't listen to my intuition.
 
I had a similar problem on a different site paid for a set 410 gears sent the money and no parts came after many emails and phone calls i found out the after they received my money the guy had a major heart attack it took six months but i did get my part.Maybe there still hope yet.
