Here's another piece I got in a package of old 360's and a 727 that I bought. It's a Rochester Quadrajet 4-bbl carb that I've read was used on some 360's in the 80's although this one appears to be from a GM vehicle.

The primaries measure 1-3/8"" and the secondaries are 2-1/4". The linkages all move freely and the throttle shafts do not feel/appear to be sloppy in their bores. It clearly would need some cleaning and a kit but seems to be complete otherwise. And no upcharge for the grime on it!!

I'd like to get $35 plus shipping.

Edit: Per the notes/replies/info below, this carb appears to be the larger casting (800 CFM) Rochester Quadrajet as it has the "bump" noted on the Carburetion.com website. And based on the p/n 17084227, it would be from a 1984 Federal emission standard manual trans car.

Also correct for some 318 cars and
several year trucks in those day.

They actually made more power than the same year
thermoquads. NHRA factors then @ 4 more HP currently.

As I recall, some years are 750 and some are 800 depending
on the years and displacement of the mopar.
 
It does not appear to be a Mopar application-the throttle bracket doesn't look like it is Mopar. Give us the carb number and somebody can decode it.

I cleaned it off and took the best pic I could in that spot so I could zoom in on it.

Looks like it is 17084227 but is so faint that may not be 100% accurate. The 4 could be a 1 or maybe is just a blank space. Not sure....
 
chevy carb due to 90 deg inlet(pointing to pass side). bop usually straight in( in line with camshaft. look down the primaries and if they are straight cylinder like, 750 cfm. if they are not straight down and have a swelled area, 800. only pontiac 455 s/w had the famous and elusive 850 cfm. hope this helps also.
 
Thx fellas. Looking down the primaries. It is straight until just below the boosters then tucks in about 1/16". Not sure what that makes it.

Again, smaller primaries and bigger secondaries as shown in the pic. Probably would be a good runner if I'd put some effort into it but I'm a Holley kind of guy. (Heck, the TQ on my 71 Demon 340 drives me nuts!! It's only there cause that's what is supposed to be there.)

Hard to get a great pic but if you look at about 7:30 position in the primary bore, this carb appears to have that bump noted in the pic above. If that makes it the larger carb, so be it.

Now that we've all learned more about this carb, I'd still like to sell it and get it out of my pile of parts!!
