My rod bearings have a .010 stamped in them. Does this indicate that my crank was turned down .010? I'm almost positive that is the case, JUst want to check with everyone first. What are a good set of bearings for replacements?

Thanks for the sanity check. Now as far as bearings, I went to the King bearing website and they use a 2 metal verses a tri-metal. Very intersting info but, Has anyone else heard of or tried them?

the bi-metal are les forgiving and cheaper. The tri-metal is to allow for slower or more gradual changes in the bearing clearances. The tri-metal have been around for MANY years and in the past been the preferred bearing. Maybe there is new thinking or new technology.

Not sure on this but -- just thinking out loud.
