The Mopars at the Playboy Mansion Event hosted by Mopar Collector's Guide will be the night before. All of those cars are invited to display in a special area at Fall Fling the next morning.

To give you an idea of the type of cars you'll see at Fall Fling from the Mansion event:

Fall Fling is a Show and Shine show held at Woodley Park in Van Nuys on Saturday October 18, 2008. Any Mopar and all conditions welcome. Mopars of Merit Ribbons awarded. No judging. Lots of projects on display. The show is entirely held on a shaded tree adorned grass covered park. There’s a shaded picnic area with food court. BBQ’s ok too.

There are tons of A-bodies at Fall Fling.
Bring your show queen, project, daily driver... If it runs bring it. If it doesn't, run bring it. If it runs but has no fenders, no hood, no interior, no windshield, no top, still bring it (just ask Daves66valiant :-D ) It's a great oppurtunity to meet other A-body owners and do some valuable networking.

Steve, we will be down there. Unsure if we are bringing a car though. We may just wait for the Spring show to bring one down. As usual, we look forward to making a trip down there though and getting away from the Bay Area for a little while.

I am going to be there in my 71 Swinger and my brother in law will be in his A100 Van.

Has you Swinger been out to Woodley before? Seem to recognize it. We had a bunch of A100's out on Sat of Spring Fling. All parked together. Looked cool.

I will be there as always with the Duster and the B'Cuda. I will be helping park cars with the club and whatnot.

While the opportunity exists for me to mention, don't forget the Malibu cruise the day prior to the Fling, which is Friday October 17th. See the thread I placed in the West Coast section for more information.

Looks like you could fit a few parts in that hatchback.

On the saving gas issue...

Anyone here looking for a ride or offerring a ride to Fall Fling?

It's a great way to save some money on gas. And leaves more money left over for parts :-D

I offered on Moparts but no takers as of yet

Jon and I will be attending... we might bring the 64 Dart if we have it together by then.... otherwise we will be there without a mopar... just the caliber.

See you all then.

I might roll through on my way to fresno/madera.
I've gone just about every year so far.
Does anyone remember that bono [u2] looking dude a yr ago?
That wasn't him?

I sort of doubt it.

Year's ago David Spade would check things out. Haven't seen John Schiender in years. Rumor once of Gary Shandling walking around. A lot of those guys live in Encino and up the hills not to far away. Everything is so kick back I hope they feel at ease to come. Sometimes I feel sorry for Leno that he just can't walk around and check things out.

But Kenny Wanye Shepard brought his Duster to the last couple shows. Chris Jacobs usually brings a car and floats around. Tom Murello used to come in his 71 340 Demon factory folding sunroof top car !! And that guy from late night TV seems to always show up :-D

The 72 SS/EA record holder was "barn found" recently. It will be there on the same trailer it was found on (and never removed from)!

Looks a little worn, painted faded, some primer in current state.

Here's an old picture of it.
