Hi,
I´m going to use these lifters with a Roller Crane 290 in my Nostalgia Race Hemi Build.
Not installed yet, but my concern is the bar tend to stick. I was thinking of smoothen edges of, or is this not gonna be a problem when assembled, lubricated and pressure from valve springs are applied...
What do you say? Was it ever a problem with these, what I believe early type of roller lifters. I have no experience using them.
Car will only see Nostalgia Races and Exhibition Runs.
Advise is appreciated.
Thanks, Stefan

those were created to be able to change cams w/o pulling the lifters out. very outdated really. why cant u just deburr the part that is making them stick?

Yes, like I say... these my work perfectly fine when in the engine without any mods...
It´s well over two fot per set to work over, plus assembling the springs off and on, and I only do that if someone have experienced trouble with this early typ lifters

i have some of them and they will self clearance which is not good, so deburr ahead of installation. it's not hard to do or time consuming.

Yes I see what you mean. Of cause there will be metal dust in oil, if they don´t move smoothly, witch they like you say apparently don´t do.
Is a fine paper enough, or may be a hand tool is faster and more efficient?
Thank You for you advice.
