hey guys looking to know what has the better ground clerance in the mild to moderate priced headers, 73 a body with p/s and p/b can't afford the dougs or the tti's any oither suggestions? would like to stay with a full length header, and will do tight tubes down the road if nescceary, my car is not lowered, probalby a little on the high side torsions turned up a little, the old *** in the air & high front 70's/80's look... my friend has a set of headman they look ok, install is not a big deal either, engine not in car yet. just looking for some insite. thanks

I have the hedmans in my 75. It's turned down a bit. Flattened 2 tubes on the drivers side first time out. I welded on strips of flatbar for mini skidplates to stop them from getting caved in more. Looks like it's working.

Well, Depending on your build you may just want to keep your manifolds. Your gonna want to save up for some Doug's steel, you dont need coating, as it will burn off anyway. The fit for summit and headman headers suck, and hang down like cow udders.

You'll thank yourself later. Ask me how I know.

What are you going to do with the car ? Daily driver , once a weekend drive or track monster ? If it's daily driver or once in a while drive just use manifolds , save yourself the headaches . Cheap header headaches are install and pancaked tubes , not worth the 10-20 hp gain . If it's for the track save up and get the Dougs or TTi worth it down the line , easier install , no pancaked tubes .
