Scamp paint schemes?

I am contemplating what I want to do as far as painting my 72. I have mostly thought about blacking out the hood and adding the stripe around the quarters with the original Rally Red. I'm not concerned with originality but I'd like to keep the Mopar "flavor" if you know what I mean. I'd like to see what ideas you have incorporated on your early Scamp or maybe some pictures you have filed for reference. Thanks!

I just had my '71 Scamp repainted last year in Sunburst Orange Pearl Coat, a 2007 Dodge color. In sunlight, it looks burnt orange--looks very nice with the black vinyl roof. I had the dash painted the same color, and added aftermarket buckets in black with the center section upholstered in a copper vinyl that looks like carbon fiber. Very cool color combo.

Your Scamp will look good with a tail-stripe and blacked out hood!
