I am getting really close to dropping the 318 into my 74 Duster. The Duster uses the spool mount K frame, and is a factory Slant Six car. I have a '74 318/904 combo to put into the car once I get the engine compartment cleaned up. I have two sets of the Schumacher /6 to 318 conversion mounts, as well as a SB Spool mount K-frame as plan B. I intend on using the Schumacher mounts due to ease. Could some people who have done the /6 to 318 swap using the conversion mounts share any photos/knowledge you have on modifying the K-frame? Ive read the instructions and it seems easy, but I just wanted to see if anyone had reference photos before I started cutting on my /6 K frame.
People who have used the conversion mounts, did you have any other fitment issues, or any issues with the fan shroud hitting (factory V8 radiator w/shroud)?
