Schumacher SB to BB Biscuit mount not fitting

-
Melling standard here also, I can only imagine fitting a hp pump. I ordered some Moroso solid biscuits to see how that works, maybe just solid in the driver side. Going to shave a 1/16” off the relief bolt. Still will eventually add a Torque strap regardless. Should be enough clearance at that point to end my concern.

if you fit a solid driver side mount then that 'is' the torque strap
neil.

A solid on the driver side, with that much cut from the k member, do you think any damage can be done? 470 with estimated 500-550 ft lbs? Was thinking torque strap to share the load.

The Moroso mount I used for a SB install was about 1/8" taller than the factory biscuit. That might help.

If you had to cut the rubber biscuit for the install you will need to do the same for the solid one. That would open a new can of worms.

Finally got it to where I’m comfortable with the fit. The cure was a moroso solid mount cut to fit just like the rubber, a tiny more clearance grinding on the top side of the k member hole, along with grinding a hair off the relief cap. Plenty of room now just leveled the engine again.

Man that mount wall is THIN! That'd bother the heck outta me.

Yeah that k member looks super thin from the bottom. I have the same kit and didnt have to trim the mounts AT ALL. your pics from the bottom look like they position the motor a bit closer / further back than mine. You can see a bit of clearance between the back of the oil pump and the puck on the motor mount. In your first pics, they're damn near touching.
