I know they're out of stock, but I'm building a 451 at work for a customer who needs power steering.
Do the Schumacher headers work with the low deck in a 71 dart with power steering?
He also doesn't want to run a fender well header.

So if anyone has any experience, or other options I'm not thinking of please let me know.
Thank you

Thanks guys.
Yes was the answer I was hoping for

You will need to alter the headers if running a stock manual transmission set up.

Are they available?? I thought they were gone..... unless maybe you already have some.

**EDIT** OH sorry, i guess you said that first /rolls eyes

They work well for a street car . As with everything now order and wait!

pretty sure they are back in stock..they constantly post on facebook the products that they have caught up with

Big Block Tri-Y Under Chassis Headers

Our under-chassis, Tri-Y headers give you high-flow header performance and a custom fit that means you don't have to sacrifice your power steering. Retain exhaust studs in the heads and no more breaking into a water jacket! Plus, unlike most headers, it doesn't capture the starter, and, because it's designed specifically for your application, it installs quickly and painlessly, even with the engine in place. Applicable to '67 and up A-Body B/RB (400-500 hp), '63 & up B-Body and E-Body, with manual or power steering and automatic transmission. Available in raw steel or matte silver ceramic coating. Made in the USA!

This came right off your link : "Both Uncoated and Ceramic Coated headers are out of stock."

I was looking about a month ago and they had the coated ones in stock. I hesitated and lost out.

The website say they're rebuilding their stock. I'm glad they didn't go tits up. When I was younger I just drive up to their house and buy stuff, back before online ordering or at least before I was doing it.

the turnover after the sale seems it took longer then they expected.

Just curious, how much or what had to be done to make the clutch linkage clear these..?? I reworked a set of headman 78030 for a low deck stick set up. 71 swinger. Took a number of in and out of the car sessions but came out pretty good in the end. Manual steer though don’t think ps would go at all. Passenger side was pretty much a bolt in..Swingn’

Here is what I did, just needed to straighten out the collector end a bit to run parallel to the torsion bar, so simple, I don't understand why Schumacher doesn't incorporate it into their design. My little angle insert was almost too long, If i was to do it again, I would shorten it a half inch or so, but it worked. Made it more difficult to install if I remember.

Nice…!! Thanks for the info..My guess is their connector pipes would no longer match up.? Then they would have two sets of headers and two sets of connector pipes..?? Probably too many part numbers to keep it simple..Thanks again for the photos..Swingn’
