Scratched vinyl stripe

So I have had an awful day. I moved my car and after cleaning and waxing the car I mistakenly scratched the drivers side Rallye Stripe behind the rear window. It did not get into the paint but it is through the stripe about 6" long. How would I go about removing the stripe to replace the damaged stripe, and if so Could I just get a piece of vinyl and patch the stripe for now???

You can patch it but it will look patched. All you need to do is heat the vinyl whether by sitting in the sun, which we have none, or with a heat gun. When using the heat gun apply sparingly or you will melt your paint. Get a piece of vinyl cut at your local FastSigns, Speedy Sign, Joe's Sign, etc...

Maniac - what kind of stripe do you have? Did you get it from me? Don't remember. If so, I can easily cut a replacement section for you and I guarantee it won't hurt your wallet
