Seasons not over yet..

Thanks to yet another round of indian summer, today, and the next couple days will get near 70... It was beautiful today, left work and went and got the Dart out.. I believe this is the lastest in the year I have run her in the 4 years I've been working on her... Just figured I would share my happiness at still driving the car.. (Planning on taking the Dart to work tomorrow.. I feel a burnout outside the parking lot comming...LOL) ... Anyone else lucky enough to still be cruising in November??

Been great all this last week here in Southern Missouri. Yesterday the wife and i rode the wing for our 29 th anniversary to Mt Home, Ark. for dinner and wore just a long sleeve white T shirt. Arrived home after dark with only a shirt on. Today we rode with a 100 bike escort for one of our returning wounded service men. It was a 15 mile ride down through town with people lining the streets waving flags. A great show of respect and thanks to one of our local heros. Suppose to be good this week also then saturday it's deer season. I like to say i hope it cools down so we can let em hang rather than have to cut em up right away.

The roadrunner is already put away and me and my dad have to tear the whole thing apart before we come out again next year, but we still enjoyed todays weather.

One of the advantages of being down here is I can drive the Dart year-round. We get some really nice days even in the dead of Winter, and my heater works very well.
If I was still living in Greensburg I doubt I'd get as much driving time after November/December.

You remember our winters well my friend LOL .. I usually have the Dart down for the winter, buy Halloween.. then my winter projects begin.. but seeing as how I dont have a winter project budget this year, and the weather is so nice so late, im just gonna cruise! .. lol

Ditto for the weather here in North Carolina. It was a balmy 37 degrees at 7 A.M. this morning but by 12:00 noon it was in the high 50's heading towards the 60's It was an awesome day. I do not miss the cold and snow from those cold days in Massachusetts and I do feel very blessed to be in an area where I can cruise on any nice day.

We are finally getting our October weather after the 12"+ of rain we had in October.

It was in the 70's the last three days and I was able to get the Dart out of it's storage spot it has sat in for the last 6 years. I rolled it out in the yard and cleaned it out then sandblasted all the jambs, trunk, window frames, engine compartment and every other part I could get my hands on. I need one more day to clean up the yard and it can snow for all I care, I'll be in the garage doing body work and getting her ready for paint.

I do like a good cold sunny day in the winter. I do drive my cars all winter on cold clear days as with the cold air they really make some horse power.
