Serpentine set up question

A non A/C bracket does NOT move or rotate the alternator at all. Exact same position. The idler pulley location was moved up and toward left side of the engine.
Here is a picture of non A/C bracket on top of A/C bracket, and alternator mounting holes are lined up perfect.

@dusted, or anyone else. Do you happen to know if the non-A/C bracket moves the alternator clockwise away from the valve covers, or is it in the same position as the A/C bracket. Tying to figure out how to have clearance for larger valve covers here. Thanks.
If you are using the fabricated valve covers with no scallop near the alternator, you will to dent or modify the valve cover.
If you get the fabricated covers with the scallop, it should clear.
Also, the Mopar Performance cast aluminum valve covers will clear the Magnum alternator.

@Bobzilla Thanks a lot for the info on the bracket, and taking the time to put up a few pictures. The fabricated valve covers also hit my M1 intake on the passenger side (see image next to the cyl 2 mark). I see Hugues notes on their website that the fabricated ones also hit on there air-gap manifold. One can grind the manifold or the covers to clearance it. My alternator needs to drop about 1/2" into the valve cover to clear (this is the larger diameter 136 amp). I'm thinking the smaller moper valve covers are the way to go, a little more room all around. Sorry to derail the thread all.

Hi All, guess what! I think I may have found a solution to the alternator issue that does not require modifying the valve covers! (I hope, not proven yet). It looks like the 2002 alternator option for the trucks had a top post!

And the 2001 and 2002 had an offset side post that may clear better also.

As a follow up: No, the Bosch style 137 amp alt with a plastic rear cover has about 1/2" of depth interference with the large valve covers. The metal rear cap was much closer to clearing but the post was very much in the way, so a metal rear cap with a side post may work.

Which valve covers are you useing?
