serpentine system

I have read on here that a late model 318 serpentine will work on a 70 s era 318, but I got 1 out of a 99 and it does not seem to work. There seems to be some threaded holes in the block that are not there on the 71 that I need to mount the serpentine that are not on the 71. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

You'll need the magnum timing cover and water pump for it to work.

I have those. The brackets seem to have to bolt to the heads and there is no holes in the block in those locations. Am I maybe looking at it wrong. I never saw how it was originally set up.

FWIW. The newest issue of Mopar Action has an article on changing over to serpentine. I skimmed through it and it looked more involved that what I expected.

LA heads don't have the bosses that the magnum heads have. I was thinking of doing this on the Barracuda, but stuff was not going to work for me.
