I was looking on Ebay the other day for any publications for my car and came across this for $11.99 plus shipping.

It's 15 pages of all the technical info on the 273! This is one of the pieces of info that I had been looking for for a long time.

I was thinking of scanning the pages and posting them here, but if I scan them, I can do both.

Dodge was the Charger. Plymouth was Commando.
I know that much…but it says it’s the 180hp version. I thought the Charger/Commando name was only used on the 235hp motors.

So did they call the 180hp version Charger/Commando for only 1964, or did they make the 235hp motors available partway through the 1964 model year?

Good question. I hadn't heard of that name attached to 64'. No 4 barrel until 65 but when was the information printed? Late 64 info could be for the 65 4 barrel release.

There are reproductions of the 1964 Plymouth TSM that include the 273 and the Barracuda Service Bulletins. I had someone lend it to me so I could gather some information.

This only included a 2bbl intake

Shows January 15, 1964 toward the top right. May be one of those “who knows” things.
