About 25 years ago I had a green Chilton's hard cover manual that covered the a-bodys through I believe 1969. But over the years I've misplaced it. Is there a book out there That can give me step-by-step instructions for repairs on my 68 Barracuda?

Your best bet is to buy a re-production factory service manual. Cost you about $50
