Shackle bracket

Hey, Has anyone had to replace the piece of Body metal that the shackle bracket bolts to?
I checked both of the parts cars that I bought, and they were both rusted through as well, so I think this must be kind of common.
How did you guys do it?

I Had The Same Problem. What I Did Was Cut The All The Rust Out, Cut A Few Pieces Of Metal And Built A Box Around The Whole Frame Where The Shackle Mount Mounts. Use The Shackle Mount As A Template To Drill The Two Holes To Bolt To Frame. If You Have A Welder And A Little Welding Ability You Can Do This Pretty Easy.

That is what I had planned. Just thought I may be able to get a repro piece to weld in.

RPM in saskatoon has the repo piece but they are 325 per side. i bought a whole trunk floor that was solid with the frame rails and shackle mounts from a wrecking yard for 100 bucks.

i have bought parts from them. the are generally good quality repo parts.
