Shafers model car thread

Outstanding job Goldfish

Thanks Mike and that was nice of you to post the pic of the real car with the model car.

I'm a novice and this was a challenge just to get done. Next time I'll be more confident and do some things differently. Thanks everybody for helping me get through this first one.

For the first one you sure did some great work

The next one will be easier, but possibly more addicting LOL

wow what such cool builds you guys have posted , i am almost embarashed to keep posting mine you guys have put me to shame.

the thread is on its way to the road to 1000
wonder who will make the 1000th post

okay I know this next one is not a model kit - many of you know I want to build at least 1 car for every year the pettys have been involved in racing from 1949 until now. I ran across this 1994 wally dallenbach car at a yard sale for $1 so i took it apart and restored it , so i do concider this a model car now because this was more work than a plastic kit. This now gave me a 1994 year car for the collection

masking tape can be bought from walmart, or any discount store that caries paints, and hobby supplies, lowes, or any hardware store

testers paint will have to be from a hobby outlets such as micheals, or hobby lobby

I have many silicone/rubber molds in my shop which were given me by my Dad. They are almost exclusively Napoleonic soldier molds, which you pour molten metal in to form a variety of soldiers, horses and cannon. Any interest in them even though thier not cars?

Years ago a buddy was moving and gave me this 1:16 kit he didn't ever get around to building. I let it sit around also, but finally got it done. The instruction sheet was missing, so I had to find pics of similar models that were already finished. This thing dwarfs a hot wheels car.
