I'm here
I was looking at this at Walmart today. 12.87 for a jug. I know many of you use this in the ole' flat tappet cams. I've been using 10w-30 Quaker State Defy (a little more zinc and a dab of synth. blend) with zinc additive Maxx ZDDP. Zero complaints! However, this is about 24 bucks for the QS jug and additive. Just having my thoughts wonder look'n at the Rotella T triple protection Diesel oil..... 12 and change..... and the convenience of not ordering Maxx ZDDP.

I have one Duster on VR-1 10w-30.... but that's a little over 30 bucks...
Not trying to be stingy, just think'n out loud.....

I use Rotella in the cuda with a couple squirts of lucas.4 years now with no issues... well not oil related lol
For the Dd I use castrol high mileage.

Rotella was all the rage a few years back, before they took the zinc out.
Old News.

Well, I'm not "too" eager to change anything, I have years and years and never lost a flat tappet cam.

...i called Shell about 3 years ago and talked to one of their techs, the zinc levels in Rotella were below
1000 ppm even then.

With the copius amount of ZDDP additives on the market does ZDDP levels really matter when choosing an oil now? Shell Rotella T has quite a following with loads of high mileage testimonies.
